~ M.U.S.I.C. Campaign ~

Blackstone Millville Music Association (BMMA) is a chartered non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to raise funds for and provide support to the Director of Music, his/her departments, all music programs and all music students of the Blackstone Millville Regional School District. As a sub-committee of the BMMA, our sole mission is to raise funds to provide uniforms for students in Marching Band, Chorus and Jazz Band.

What is Project M.U.S.I.C.?

We are asking for you to support our mission to replace uniforms for our marching band, jazz band and chorus.  A subcommittee of BMMA, aptly named Project M.U.S.I.C. (Musicians' Uniforms are Spectacular In Competition), has been formed to raise an unprecedented amount of money during these financially challenging times.  Forty five thousand dollars ($45,000) is our lofty goal and we need your help! Committee members include: Buddy Bibeault, Jill Rondeau, Deb Ristaino, Lisa Fernald, Doreen Mullaly & Maureen Vasquez. .

First, we'd like to thank you for your past support of the Blackstone-Millville Music Association. It's folks like you that make this program successful and the community strong. We are proud of the fact that our program is the pride of BMR and includes numerous programs such as Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Brass Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Chorus, and Color Guard, to name a few. These kids work extremely hard and are not only proud of their accomplishments but are devoutly committed to this program. They are 200+ strong and are model citizens in our community.

Blackstone-Millville Music Association's objectives are to promote the best possible music education for all students, to broaden the cultural opportunities of the students, to increase their performing and creative skills through the exposure to all forms of music and, to provide incentive for those students with extraordinary musical talent.

Keeping true to our objectives, we would like to embark on an unprecedented mission to raise $45,000 over the next two years so that we may replace 14 year old marching band uniforms, jazz uniforms and chorus uniforms without asking our already strapped School District for money.  We estimate the following costs:

  • Marching Band Uniforms: ~$225
  • Jazz Band Uniforms ~$ 80
  • Chorus ~$80

Would you consider donating an entire uniform? You can pay monthly using our easy online payment option if you would like to make smaller monthly payments but make no mistake, we are looking for contributions, in any denomination.

A band mom has lovingly handcrafted each bracelet. Each large bead represents a different family of instruments:

  • Green- trumpets
  • Orange- tubas
  • Yellow- baritones
  • Black- saxophones & mellophones
  • Blue- clarinets
  • Red- trombones
  • White- flutes & piccolos
  • Silver/gold - percussion instruments
  • Small colored beads- color guard
